Novel Objects are items, objects or toys that look and feel different and unusual. Exposing impressionable puppies to a wide variety of objects means they are more likely to accept (or be unbothered by) strange objects during their future service work.
Novel object exposure should begin as early as is safe for the puppies. Make sure you choose objects that are appropriate for the puppies’ age group. The video below shows examples of novel objects within the puppies’ den.
