7.2 – Add and Edit Hip Quality Data

Enter hip quality data in the specific details tab based on the type of hip measure. Hip entries will display on the Health Diagnoses list but can only be entered and edited through the specific details tabs for hips.

Hips scored using one of the world-recognized scoring systems listed below can be used in the EBV calculations. Accuracy of the extended hip radiograph (EHR) hip measures (OFA, BVA, FCI, SV) increase with age and are best measured when the dog is Penn Hip measures are accurate at age 6 months and older. EHR scoring systems with more score points generally define differences more accurately and therefore have higher estimates of heritability when scored at the same age than measures with fewer score points

  • BVA- date, enter numeric score in right and left and if pertinent, the registry and certification number
  • EHR OFA- scored Excellent, Good, Fair, Borderline, Mild, Moderate, Severe. Enter date, score value in right and left fields and if pertinent, the registry and certification number
  • FCI- scored A, B, C, D, E. Enter date, score value in right and left fields and if pertinent, the registry and certification number
  • SV- scored Normal, Fast Normal, Noch Zugeiesssen, Mittiere, Schwere. Enter date, score value in right and left fields and if pertinent, the registry and certification number
  • Penn Hip- Enter date, enter numeric score in right and left and if available the Antech/PennHip accession number
  • Vezzoni- . – Enter date, enter numeric score in right and left

Edit Hip Quality Data

Hip diagnoses are visible in the Health Diagnoses tab but not editable from there

To edit a hip diagnosis click on the appropriate hip tab
